Beef Halim
A hearty slow-cooked lentil and beef stew, perfect for breaking the fast.

🧂 Ingredients
500g beef
1 cup mixed lentils
1 cup wheat
2 onions sliced
2 tbsp ginger paste
2 tbsp garlic paste
1 tsp turmeric
2 tsp halim masala
Salt to taste
Oil
Fresh coriander & lemon to serve
📋 Steps

Soak lentils and wheat overnight.

Boil beef with ginger, garlic and salt until tender.

Shred the beef and set aside.

Cook soaked lentils and wheat until soft.

Combine beef and lentils, add halim masala and cook for 30 minutes.

Fry onions until crispy and use as topping.

Serve with lemon juice and fresh coriander.
💡 Tips
The longer you cook, the thicker and tastier it gets.
Add fried onions just before serving for crunch.
