Soft lentil dumplings soaked in spiced yogurt — a cooling iftar favourite.

🧂 Ingredients
1 cup black lentils
2 cups yogurt
1 tsp roasted cumin powder
1 tsp chaat masala
½ tsp red chilli powder
Salt to taste
Oil for frying
Tamarind chutney to serve

Soak lentils overnight, drain and grind to smooth paste.

Add salt and beat well until fluffy.

Fry spoonfuls in oil until light golden.

Soak fried boras in warm water for 10 minutes, then squeeze gently.

Beat yogurt with salt and cumin.

Place boras in yogurt, top with chaat masala, chilli and tamarind chutney.
💡 Tips
Beat the batter well so boras stay soft.
Chill before serving for best taste.
