🧂 Ingredients
1 cup red lentils
1 onion chopped
3 garlic cloves
1 tsp turmeric
1 tsp cumin seeds
2 dried red chillies
2 tbsp oil
Salt to taste
Fresh coriander

Boil lentils with turmeric and salt until soft.

Heat oil in a small pan.

Add cumin seeds, garlic and dried chillies — fry until fragrant.

Add onion and fry until golden.

Pour tempering over cooked lentils.

Garnish with coriander and serve with rice or roti.
💡 Tips
Don't overcook lentils — keep them slightly firm.
The tempering is the key — don't skip it.
